When I was about nine years old, my parents didn’t want me to read mangas or watch anime. However, my siblings introduced me to it, which opened up my liking of anime. Anime has shown me a variety of emotions that I have never felt compared to “The Notebook” or “Friends.”
I sat for a bit to organize my anime list. So, here are my top three animes to binge-watch:
MY HUSBAND IS A HOUSEWIFE
Newlyweds Ruiji and Haru are head over heels for each other. But their relationship is completely flipped. Ruiji is a stay-at-home husband, and his wife, Haru, is a hard-working elite bank clerk. As a househusband, Ruiji spends his day finding hilarious encounters with neighbors and other exciting people. This anime made me laugh, but I also found myself rooting for the cute couple.
2. ONE PUNCH MAN
One Punch Man is about an average hero who is unhappy to be strong enough to defeat all his opponents. However, Saitama, the main character, is powerful enough that a single blow can beat any of his enemies. It’s hilarious, in a way that isn’t typically seen in anime, and it’s a well-executed satire, which is also rare! The show never has a dull moment, and it manages to combine action and comedy with telling an entertaining and humorous series. I highly recommend this to get a good laugh.
3. VIOLET EVERGARDEN
The story revolves around the life of Violet Evergarden, who is a young female ex-soldier used as a tool for war, reintegrating back into society after the war is over. After the war ended, she was left with only words from the person she held dearest but no understanding of the meaning. Violet starts a new life working as an “Auto Memory Doll,” which transcribes people’s thoughts and feelings into words on paper and reshapes her life. I love this anime because not only this is an emotional masterpiece, the artwork is stunning. It tackles real-life issues like war and love, and every episode managed to make me cry.
While these are my top three animes I recommend, everybody has their preferences. So what are you waiting for? Watch these anime, and let me know how it goes!
