Music is a universal language: a form of communication that anyone around the world, no matter where you are, can connect with and understand. With music festivals slowly reemerging from the pandemic, such as the ever-popular Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, more and more musical artists of all genres are able to reach new audiences and showcase their songs to thousands. Below is a list of some new artists on the scene to look out for based on various different genres of music, so you can choose the type of music you want to hear while also giving credit to newer artists in the industry!

A singer-songwriter from Bulgaria, Zoya’s music is known for using sounds from the different countries she has visited throughout her travels in an unusual and creative way. Check out her latest single, “I’m A Mess,” to hear her eclectic and unique sound!

Known as one of Billboard's top 100 independent music artists to watch out for in 2021, A$H.’s music perfectly blends pop and R&B to create a niche pop sound that is unlike any other artist. Her latest EP “Pri$$¥” is a must-listen for any pop music fans out there!

A 21-year-old artist from Texas, rapper Mike Dimes began his musical career at a young age by writing poetry and listening to artists like Tupac and André 3000. His music is known as being “real, full of emotions and diversity,” gaining newfound popularity on TikTok. Listen to his latest single, “HOME,” to hear Dime’s Southern roots and powerful lyrics!

Jason Barican, better known as sunshine blvd., is a nineteen-year-old Filipino artist who grew up listening to influences such as Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra, with newer artists like Clairo and Girl in Red helping to form the music he creates today. A Navy veteran and an Oklahoma native, Zach Bryan discovered his love for music at the age of 14, when he got his first guitar and slowly began to write his own songs.
